Sephora by OPI Rocker Chic Swatches - Fiercely Fabulous + Rock His World

Today I have swatches from Sephora by OPI's Rocker Chic Collection  for Fall 2010! You can see all the colors here. As per usual, I'm a creme person, so I went for two of the three cremes. Though I will say, I have seen some of the glitters in person, and they look pretty amazing. Let's just say that "blue glitter" might actually be purple + blue + green flecks of glitter. Wow.

But back to cremes.

So first up in the Sephora by OPI Rocker Chic collection, we have Fiercely Fabulous. It's described as an "opaque poppy red." In my opinion, any red with "poppy" as a descriptor can only be a good thing! It's like the color of "red-orange" that we used to have in our crayon boxes. And like most red-oranges has a vintage feel. The actual color is a deeper than my picture, and feels more like fall (so you can probably wait to buy this one) . I can definitely see this fitting in perfectly with my cozy gray sweaters this coming autumn =). Thumbs up. Oh, and this is two coats, but you could get away with 1.

Second, we have Rock his World. It's described as an opaque deep cranberry. As with most Sephora by OPIs, the actual color is a bit deeper than the color bubble on the website. This is two coats, but you could get away with one. Love that. My swatch looks almost brown, but that's actually off. It should've come off has a bit more purple-red instead of brown-red. I'll redo it when I have more time. The color is kind of a very dark brick / wine red mix.  I really really really like it. Dark and Chic.

I can't wait to see the rest of the collection in person, but I'll wait til it gets to Sephora stores. Note: you can also see some swatches at Vampy Varnish.

 (End nail polish talk here)

OK, last pic is the dessert parfait my bf made for me! Nyum. Greek yogurt + granola + fresh berries. (The color of the raspberries look a lot like Fiercely Fabulous actually..) I could eat this forever.

Thanks for reading! I have a swatch of Sephora by OPI's Going Nude Eh? coming soon, and I recently made Sephora's V.I.B. Club (i.e. spent way too much money there), so I'll be writing about that too.

Baby Bird - Living on the Edge

Hi furriends, Mom finally had time to help me write another entry. I hope you like it!

My name is Baby Bird, and I like to live on the edge. Here you can see me walking on the edge of the sidewalk, nearest to the grass.

Although sometimes I like to walk down the middle of the pavement too.

Cities are always full of tuff folks who won't say hi. Kind of like these guys here.

Some guy who thinks he's tuff wrote something on the park bench. Unfortunately I can't read his handwriting.
Maybe he should have spent more time in school to work on his ABCs.

Cities are full of signs. Sometimes they are in confusing places.

Well that's all for today. As you can see, I am always living on the edge. I hope you have an exciting day today too!

Peace and Paws,
Baby Bird

P.S. Don't forget to check out www.petfinder.com to find your own ruff and tuff shelter pup like me!

Only Gold for Me (Sephora by OPI)

This summer I'm really feeling the golds and nudes. There's something about a good sandy gold that says summer!

Here's a swatch of Only Gold for Me by Sephora by OPI. It's one of two glitter topcoats that were released by Sephora this summer. It's a golden hex glitter with smaller bits of golden glitter mixed in. I kind of gooped on lots of topcoat on in one layer (because I was lazy) to get this picture--- but it actually dried down just fine.

I kind of like it alone, although it does look good on top of neutrals. But of course, I'm on a neutral kick now, so that's a biased opinion.
