Victoria's Secret Body by Victoria Eau de Parfum review

A brand new edition of Victoria's Secret Body by Victoria Eau de Parfum is making its way onto shelves this Fall 2012! This lush fruity floral with earthy musk wraps your body in a way that is as soft and sensual as beautiful lingerie.

I love the modern, clean, and pink packaging of Body by Victoria Eau de Parfum.
The bottle has an elegant length with reflective metal side paneling. The front and back are sandwiched between rectangular acrylic panels that add visual interest, as well as stability to the tall shape. The simple streamlined, yet upwardly balanced shape fits well with the beautiful modern scent inside.

Victoria's Secret Body by Victoria Eau de Parfum is described as a 'Fresh' scent that is 'Sensual and Stunning. Forever Fresh'. The described notes include:

Top: Mandarin, Peach, Raspberry leaves, Water Blossoms
Mid: Orange Flower, Ginger Lily, Magnolia, Lily of the Valley
Dry Down: Musk, Precious Woods, Sheer Amber, Orris

I would describe Victoria's Secret Body by Victoria Eau de Parfum as a warm and relaxed fruity floral. As opposed to a bursting flirty floral, it's more like a light warm scent that wants leaning in. There is an order to the notes in this fragrance. It unfolds first with mellow juicy fruits; there is a slight tang of mandarin, rounded out by sweet peach and raspberry. Then you notice the light and warm scent of the lily based floral and a hint of water. The fragrance dries down to a musk and at the very end a very dry wood (like cleaved firewood) with peach, raspberry, and a hint of spice. It's very pleasant, as raspberry and wood typically make a good combination. The predominant wood dry down is decidedly clean, earthy, and alluring.

Overall, Victoria's Secret Body by Victoria Eau de Parfum is a relaxed feminine scent that would wear well for day and evening use. I can see that the fruity floral notes appealing to a wide range of pink fragrance lovers. The musk, and bare wood notes add a little intrigue and sexiness to the scent. Thanks for reading! Have you tried Body By Victoria Eau de Parfum in stores? What are your favorite Victoria's Secret Scents? Do you have any favorite everyday pink scents?

Love, Dovey.

  1. This sounds really pretty! I actually have really liked some of Victoria's Secret scents in the past--especially the really cleans ones (they used to do this really powdery one that I LOVED using the body lotion of). Might have to check this out!

    1. Hi Becca, Thanks! I really like the clean wood scent that comes out of the fruit. I agree about the VS scents, plus they have so many available, esp in lotion or bodycare form!

  2. Oooh this sounds perfect for me! I've always wanted to try VS's scents, but found a lot of them too fruity and powerful. I prefer lighter, fresher, mellower scents like this. Any others from them you'd recommend me to take a sniff of? :)

    1. Hi Maggie, wonderful! I think this one is quite everyday (but not too boring). I like that it's not too overpowering too, since I can wear a little to work :) I haven't made a comprehensive rounds of the scents, but Angel is one I really need to try again. It's an award winner, apparently!

  3. I really like their body sprays, but I've never tried any of the eau de parfums. I love the combo of peach, raspberry, and musk!

    1. Hi Krystle, I love the combination too! It's a fun but relaxed feeling. I think the two fruits work well with woods too. I used to have a raspberry + cedar I liked a while ago!
