Snapshot of a small haul

On Saturday, I took a whirl around town and picked up a few things for myself. I'm not an impulse shopper when it comes to makeup or skincare, so these three things were more or less what I planned on getting. My beloved LUSH Seanik Shampoo bar (see review here) is nearly finished, so I had to get a new bar. I decided to be a little 'adventurous' this time and go for LUSH Jumping Juniper instead. My medium sized bottle of Avene Eau Thermale Thermal Spring Water was 2/3 finished, so I picked up the large size this time at Look Bar / Walgreens. Since I've had so much success with other products from the Cleanance Line, I decided to try Avene Cleanance Toner. All three items may seem basic and very vanilla, however I find considerable satisfaction in knowing each one will get a lot of love. Thanks for reading! Have you stocked up on any old favorites recently?

Love, Dovey.

  1. Oh yes, I have recently repurchased La Roche Posay Effaclar K and NUXE Honey lip balm. The new ones are still getting a whole lotta love here!

I had really bad experience with the Avene Cleanance cleanser a couple of years ago. It broke me out so terribly. I even went off it, waited for the breakout to clear up, and went back on it to have the same thing happen again. It's weird considering this line works well for many!

    1. Hi Sunny, I thought of you when I saw the NUXE balm the other day; I wanted to buy it but there weren't any left! Your cleanance experience sounds horrible; I wonder what ingredient did it? I've had a bad experience with a Clinique lotion before which seemed to work for everyone. Sometimes you never know!

    1. Hi Sarah, gosh I don't know where I'd start! I love the shampoo bars. No Drought has a nice scent for a dry shampoo, and I <3 Mask of Magnaminty

  3. My first LUSH bath bomb experience was lovely :) The store itself still scares me a bit, though, but I do want to go back for a few more bath bombs - we want to take them on the honeymoon!

  4. Dovey, I always think of you now when I see a LUSH shampoo bar! Really want to try Seanik sometime. I just bought some cotton pads yesterday but no refill on old faves yet.

    1. Hi Liz, YAY, I'm so flattered. Perhaps my obsession is that obvious. Cotton pads are necessary too!

    1. Hi Joyce, I'm usually an overthinker, which can waste time! I'd love to see what you get from Look Bar :)

  6. I am really leaning towards Seanick as my next haircare purchase from LUSH. I'm currently using Big! and love it, but it's time to try something new!
