Friday Five : NARS Concealer edition

Happy Friday! The new NARS Radiant Creamy Concealers have been the objects of my obsession for the past couple of weeks. As a big fan of NARS foundation and concealer products (amongst other things), I was excited to see the first product reviews trickle out (and I'm looking forward to reading more). They're now available online, however I'm planning to wait a bit longer before purchasing. In the meantime, as I mentioned on Instagram, I've been giving my NARS Concealers in Vanilla and Custard a lot of love. Hopefully, I'll stave off temptation a while longer this way! On that note, here are my five favorite reads of the week, which cover the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealers, as well as other new releases:

1. A sneak preview of Marc Jacobs' nail polish collection for Sephora on Fashionista.
2. Café Makeup has swatches of the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealers.
3. Burberry Beauty for Fall 2013, including new nail polish, is listed at Temptalia.
4. The Beauty Look Book has swatches of the new YSL Rouge Volupté Shines.
5. See my and other beauty bloggers' beach favorites in the Condé Nast Traveler!

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend! Are you planning on picking up the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealers? What concealers are you currently using? Do you have any beauty-related weekend plans?

Love, Dovey.

  2. when it comes to concealer I find there are very few products that a) work for me and ) I really like and can use daily. For under eyes I use Ellis Faas (hate the packaging, products seperates and can dry out), for blemishes, etc I like KA Sensual Skin Enhancer SX1. I am very interested in some stick concealer though, like Jouer or Vapour, never tried NARS though (I guess the lightest shade ist too dark for me) / Claire xxx

  3. I am unreasonably excited about the new NARS concealer as well, and I never get excited about concealers! My go-to concealer is NARS Custard, and I've been looking for a slightly light-reflecting one for the undereye area. Since I already know which shade I need, I'll probably grab it as soon as it hits UK-based webshops (no NARS here unfortunately)!

  4. These look great! I've never tried any face products from NARS but I may have to try these :D I think this weekend I'm going to have to do a pamper session - my skin is breaking out, m hair is dry, and my nails are chipped!

  6. I'm looking forward to these hitting Nordstrom/Sephora! I'm still on the hunt for a good undereye concealer that doesn't crease. Initial reviews indicate that there is no/very minimal creasing & the light reflective property can't hurt either. I'm really liking the new NARS light reflecting powder so I have high hopes for the concealer as well.
    Have a wonderful weekend Dovey!

  9. I love your love for NARS. :)

For me, I actually despise using concealers and try to keep as few as possible. I've gotta be the lazier beauty blogger ever!

    1. Hi Liz,

Haha, I enjoyed that statement! Concealer is an extra step that I like to skip more often than not too. Usually I use them more for blemishes than the undereye area :-)

Just purchased Custard today. Not sure if I got the correct shade - the SA swore it looked perfect, but I feel that it was a bit too light for my taste... Don't want to hate on such a great product just because I got the wrong shade.
